Terms of Service

Last updated:

Please read these terms carefully before booking a service with ApplianceKom. This is a working draft — full legal terms will be published shortly.

1.Acceptance of Terms

By booking a service call, requesting a quote, or using any services provided by ApplianceKom (Kom & Kom Ltd), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

These terms are a placeholder and will be updated with full legal language. Please check back for the complete version.

2.Services Provided

ApplianceKom provides in-home appliance repair services for residential customers across the Niagara Region, Ontario, including Niagara Falls, St. Catharines, Welland, and surrounding municipalities.

Services include diagnosis, repair, and parts replacement for major household appliances such as washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, stoves, and microwaves.

3.VIP Service Guarantee

ApplianceKom stands behind every repair with our VIP Service Guarantee. If the same fault recurs within the guarantee period following a completed repair, we will return to re-diagnose and remedy the issue at no additional labour charge, subject to the conditions below.

The VIP Guarantee applies to the specific fault repaired and does not cover new or unrelated faults, damage caused by misuse, power surges, or failure to follow manufacturer operating instructions.

Full guarantee terms, including the applicable period and any exclusions, will be confirmed in writing at the time of service. This section is a placeholder and will be expanded with complete guarantee terms.

4.Original Parts Policy

ApplianceKom uses only original manufacturer-approved spare parts wherever available. We do not substitute generic or aftermarket components without the express consent of the customer.

In cases where an original part is discontinued or unavailable within a reasonable timeframe, we will inform the customer and present available alternatives before proceeding with any repair.

Parts supplied remain the property of ApplianceKom until full payment for the service has been received.

5.Emergency Service Calls

ApplianceKom offers emergency service calls outside of standard business hours (8:00 am – 8:00 pm). Emergency calls are subject to availability and may attract an additional call-out fee.

Emergency call rates and any applicable surcharges will be communicated to the customer prior to dispatch. By requesting an emergency call, you agree to the quoted emergency rate.

Emergency service is available across the Niagara Region. Response times may vary depending on technician availability and location.

6.Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing. ApplianceKom accepts cash, major credit cards, and e-transfer.

A diagnostic fee may apply for assessment visits where the customer chooses not to proceed with the recommended repair. This fee will be disclosed before the visit is confirmed.

7.Limitation of Liability

ApplianceKom is not liable for pre-existing damage, cosmetic defects, or faults unrelated to the repair carried out. Our liability is limited to the cost of the specific repair service provided.

We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from appliance failure or service delay.

8.Changes to These Terms

ApplianceKom reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. The date of the most recent revision is shown at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
